The integrated steel plant was founded in 1918 and currently produces approximately 7 million ton of steel per year. 9000 employees assure that high-grade steel products can be supplied to the most demanding sectors all over the world. Our steel is indispensable in construction, the automotive industry, the packaging sector and for producers of industrial machines.
Tata Steel in the Netherlands is committed to sustainable steel production in a clean environment. It has expressed the ambition to produce hydrogen-based green steel by 2030 and the first steps are now being taken in this direction. In addition, Tata Steel’s Roadmap Plus consists of dozens of environmental measures to improve the environment by maximum emission reduction.
The Research and Development department of Tata Steel in the Netherlands, with approximately 300 employees, is an important part of the company. It provides the operation, and our customers, significant value by developing process technology, differentiated products and customer service options. According to the overall Tata Steel strategy, R&D embraces a future of green, clean and circular steel.
